The dark green sea of white spray is a spectacular and visually striking piece of 168,000 discarded straws collected by artists and environmental volunteers on the beach and on the streets, screened, washed, painted and shaped. This work calls on people to protect water resources and care for the environment, in line with the goals of the  UNSDG

3. This image shows a human swimming in a sea of plastic waste. The mermaid's tail is colorful and contrasts with the blue-green plastic waste that surrounds it. The images convey a strong message about the impact of marine pollution on marine life and ecosystems. Merfolk are common creatures in mythology and culture, often associated with nature, beauty, and freedom. But here, the mermaid is surrounded by plastic waste that restricts her freedom and poses a threat to the natural beauty she represents. Plastic waste floats on the surface of the water in a chaotic and disorderly manner, highlighting the seriousness of the pollution problem. The image uses a highly abstract and symbolic visual language to convey its message. A sense of conflict and tension between mermaids and plastic waste provokes the audience to think deeply about environmental issues. Overall, the image is a powerful statement about the environmental crisis and how we view and deal with the growing problems on our planet.

In my design, I drew a huge faucet, because in the daily life of all of us, we can't do without water, but water can't do without faucet, so I think the faucet is the most appropriate image that can match water in everyone's mind

In the second development design, I added a couple of small children in contrast to the huge faucet next to it

In the third development design, I added dry to cracked land and experimented with coloring the characters

Final Design 

This is my final design, in my childhood memories, I remember seeing rice paddies that were so dry that they cracked, small rivers, and I think this is what I want to express about the design of protecting water resources, protecting the environment, calling on people to turn off the taps in time and prohibit throwing garbage into the river.

Fashion project 2

For Fashion Project 2 this semester, our theme was to design garments for Converse. I developed my concept by merging the streetwear spirit of Converse with parachute-inspired elements, aiming to create a unique blend of utility and urban attitude. At the beginning of the project, I started by researching the brand identity, history, and visual language of Converse to better understand its core values and audience. Once I finalized the direction of using parachute aesthetics—such as straps, volume, folds, and technical materials—I began sketching my design ideas. I created a total of 20 design sketches, and from those, I selected two designs to further develop and bring to life.
