Week 1


 In the first week, the teacher asked us to choose one of these different eras to make a dress for the theme


My answer is Victorian era！


Then I start to research！



Then I found out that the Victorian period also included four developments, the Romantic period, the Neo-Rococo period, the Basel period, and the S period

At its peak, at the beginning of the Victorian era, women were X-shaped with wide shoulders, slender waists, and puffed skirts

Because of the prevalence of the Crenolin, also known as the Crenolin period, mainly in 1850-1870. It is a revival of the popular 18th-century Rococo style, which can be simply and rudely considered doll-style. The Clinolin style of this period was very pompous, and even the skirt was also added with various intricate decorations, which was not only exaggerated, but also caused great inconvenience.

The Bussel period reached its heyday in 1886-1888, and the main feature was the butt cock. In order to achieve an exaggerated back-tilting effect, the shape of the skirt support is changed accordingly, and some people use skirt pads

S-shaped period The transition from classical to modern styles is characterized by the elimination of skirt braces and skirt pads, and the S is the natural curve of the female side

Fashion project 2

For Fashion Project 2 this semester, our theme was to design garments for Converse. I developed my concept by merging the streetwear spirit of Converse with parachute-inspired elements, aiming to create a unique blend of utility and urban attitude. At the beginning of the project, I started by researching the brand identity, history, and visual language of Converse to better understand its core values and audience. Once I finalized the direction of using parachute aesthetics—such as straps, volume, folds, and technical materials—I began sketching my design ideas. I created a total of 20 design sketches, and from those, I selected two designs to further develop and bring to life.
